About Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP)

The Prime Minister, in his address to the nation on August 15, 2007, announced the establishment of a Central University in each of the states that did not have a central university so far. Subsequently, 11th Plan provided for the establishment of 16 new Central Universities. Accordingly, the Central Universities Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) which received Presidential assent on 20th March 2009 provided for the establishment of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh amongst others. The Central University of Himachal Pradesh is established under the Central Universities Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) enacted by the Parliament. The University is funded and regulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University became functional with the assumption of charge by the first Vice-Chancellor on 20th January 2010.

Central University of Himachal Pradesh Exam Time Table / Date Sheet

CUHP Exam Admit Card / Hall Ticket Download

Students will have to download the Central University of Himachal Pradesh Admit Cards in order to give entrance examinations for Undergraduate, Postgraduate or any diploma course. The university notifies the publication for the admit cards in their general notification section.

• Enter Registration Number and Date of Birth in the respective places and click on Download tab of the website.

Central University of Himachal Pradesh Admission 2019

Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) B.A., B.Sc., and B.Voc. Admission 2019

CUHP offers admission in three-year full-time UG programs in B.A., B.Sc., and B.Voc. Program.

The minimum eligibility to apply for undergraduate courses is having passed HSC (10+2) examination from a recognized board with at least 50% marks (5% relaxation in marks for reserved category Students). For B.Voc. Student need to be pass at 12th (10+2) with at least 40% marks.

Final selection of the Students in UG courses is based on merit in qualifying exam. Interested Students will have to fill the application form online at the official website.

Central University of Himachal Pradesh M.A., M.Sc., MSW, M.Lib, MBA, and M.Phil. Admission 2019

Admission in two-year full-time post-graduate programs offered by the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Kangra will be based on fulfillment of basic eligibility criteria in addition to the scores in the entrance exam. Students applying for M.A., M.Sc., MBA, or MSW courses must have passed Bachelor’s degree from a UGC recognized university with the minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Final selection of the Students PG courses is based on any Entrance Exams scores organized by the University.

Central University of Himachal Pradesh Ph.D. Admission 2019

CUHP, Kangra offers the Ph.D. program. Admission to Ph.D. course is based on marks in Master’s or M.Phil. Degree. The final admission to Ph.D. is based on entrance examination organized by University.

Candidates applying for any of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs offered by the Central University of Himachal Pradesh can apply online or can also download the application form from official website.

• Visit the official website of the university and click on the link available for Apply Online.
• Fill all the required basic details carefully and register yourself first.
• The student will log in with valid email and password.
• Upload scanned copy of photograph and signature in not more than 40 kb.
• The student will receive an SMS/ email about the confirmation of registration.
• Next step is to fill all the other details and make the payment of application fees.
• The student can pay the application fees by Debit/Credit card/ Net Banking or other cashless modes.
• A student can also deposit cash at Post Office by choosing “Cash Deposit at Post Office”.
• Click Proceed and then select the city and branch and click on the slip.
• Print the slip and deposit cash.
• The student can also visit the website to download the application form.
• Application Fees: INR 500 (for General / OBC/ Ex-Serviceman) and INR 125 (for SC/ST/PWD)
